Seems too numerically lovely a date not to have any blog post!
Books I completed reading in January:
- A Court of Thorns and Roses — Sarah J Maas (23/01/2022)
- The Blue Salt Road – Joanne M Harris (18/01/2022)
- The Fifth Season — N.K Jemisin (17/01/2022)
- The Eye of the World — Robert Jordan (6/01/2022)
Books I’m currently reading:
I’m currently tearing through Maas’s A Court of Mist and Fury, Rereading Jemisin’s The Obelisk Gate, and Jordan’s The Great Hunt. Also still reading Mirlees’s Lud-in-the-Mist but everything was put on hold for research reading and because I got sucked into Maas’s A Court of Thorns and Roses series. There are a fistful of other things which I haven’t finished reading. I’ll get to them in due course. I’m really enjoying everything I’m reading so far. It’s regaining the quiet pleasure of losing yourself in the pages of a book. Or, in my case, several books!
Harris’s Blue Salt Road is VERY GOOD. I tore through that one in a single sitting.
Spending MUCH less time mucking about social media means slightly more time for quality reading and I’ve spent many a happy night-time hour (or two) snuggling under my comforter, reading.
