Got a fair bit of reading done since the last post, most of which are for the articles I’ve been co-writing and editing. I’ve streamlined (even further) many components of my life to focus on that.
Here’s what I finished reading (apart from the stacks of theory-related monographs I’m keeping off this list):
- Spectres of Marx – Jacques Derrida (reread)
- The Girl With The Make-Believe Husband – Julia Quinn
- Because of Miss Bridgerton – Julia Quinn
- Oryx and Crake – Margaret Atwood
- Mr. Fox – Helen Oyeyemi (reread)
And here’s a selection of what I’m actively currently reading. Only the Julia Quinn, C.L. Clark and JRR Tolkien titles are not related to current research-writing. Well okay, maybe not the Badiou as well which is just a theoretical flirtation. I keep dipping into Badiou every now and then but I never find him relevant to my research. Well, not yet, at any rate. He’s basically my philosophy side-bro. 😉
- Kartography – Kamila Shamsie
- The Other Miss Bridgerton – Julia Quinn
- Map of the Invisible World – Tash Aw
- The Production of Space — Henri Lefebvre (reread)
- Being and Event – Alain Badiou (reread)
- The Unbroken – C. L. Clark
- The Book of Lost Tales 2 – JRR Tolkien (reread)
- Vigil – Angela Slatter (reread)
